Nurtured
A monthly neighborhood parenting group offering non-judgemental & compassionate wisdom over dinner
Raising kids begins with nurturing ourselves first
Parenting is one of the hardest jobs with the least training.
And it’s not something we were ever meant to do alone. From sleepless nights to big emotions to family conflict, parenting brings challenges at every stage. This group offers support wherever you are in your journey, with a focus on what makes everything else possible: taking care of yourself first. Open to all who are raising children.
6 monthly sessions covering:
Emotional regulation • Self-care for parents • Connection building • Boundaries with heart • Family harmony • Community support & so much more
*Each session is complete on its own with practical tools you can use immediately.

What makes this different.
This isn't another lecture-style parenting class. We're a warm, supportive community where you'll learn evidence-based tools while sharing a meal with neighbors who understand your journey. Each session stands alone—drop in when you need it or commit to the full series.
Your facilitator
Sarah Schmitz, MA
Hi, I'm Sarah! I have a Master's degree in Couple and Family Therapy and years of clinical experience working with families, plus I'm certified in Positive Discipline. But most importantly, I'm a fellow Westerly parent who's figuring this out alongside you. I understand the gap between knowing what "good parenting" looks like and actually doing it when you're exhausted, triggered, or overwhelmed. My approach combines practical tools with the reality of daily life, always with compassion for both parent and child. I'm not here as the expert with all the answers—I'm here as someone who believes parenting gets easier when we have practical tools, supportive community, and permission to be imperfect while we learn and grow together.
